Options Menu

I. Auto Connect

• The Auto Connect setting will cause the Connection Manager to start to dial a connection as soon as it is opened.  This option is turned off by default.  

• To turn this option on, go to the Options Menu and click Auto Connect if there is no check mark next to it.  Next time you enter the Options Menu there will be a check mark next to the Auto Connect Setting.  

• To turn this option off, go to the Options Menu and click Auto Connect if there is a check mark next to it.  Next time you enter the Options Menu there will not be a check mark next to the Auto Connect Setting.

II. Open Internet Explorer on Connect

• The Open Internet Explorer on Connect setting will cause your Internet Explorer web browser to start as soon as a connection is established.  This option is turned on by default.

• To turn this option on, go to the Options Menu and click Open Internet Explorer on Connect if there is no check mark next to it.  Next time you enter the Options Menu there will be a check mark next to the Open Internet Explorer on Connect Setting.  

• To turn this option off, go to the Options Menu and click Open Internet Explorer on Connect if there is a check mark next to it.  Next time you enter the Options Menu there will not be a check mark next to the Open Internet Explorer on Connect Setting.

III. Minimize Dialer on Connect

• The Minimize Dialer on Connect setting will cause the ChicagoNet Connection Manager window to minimize to the start bar when a connection is established.  This option is turned off by default.

• To turn this option on, go to the Options Menu and click Minimize Dialer on Connect if there is no check mark next to it.  Next time you enter the Options Menu there will be a check mark next to the Minimize Dialer on Connect Setting.  

• To turn this option off, go to the Options Menu and click Minimize Dialer on Connect if there is a check mark next to it.  Next time you enter the Options Menu there will not be a check mark next to the Minimize Dialer on Connect Setting.

IV. Download Current Dialup Number List

• The Download Current Dialup Number List menu item will download an up-to-date Dialup Number List.  This should be done from time to time to make sure you have a current Dialup Number.  You may only execute this update if you are connected with the Connection Manager.

• To execute this update, go to the Options Menu and click Download Current Dialup Number List.  The lower status window will change to Downloading Current Dial-up Phone List....  The Download Completed window will be displayed once the download and update is completed.

V. Exit

• Click Exit to exit the Connection Manager.  You must disconnect from the Internet if you are connected before you can Exit.
